About the Beta

Is Skedra really free during Beta?

Yes. Every feature — bookings, customers, staff, reminders, payments via Stripe, loyalty, AI assistant, WhatsApp integration, multi-location — all free while we're in Beta. No credit card required to sign up.

When does Beta end?

When we've onboarded our first 20 businesses and shaped the product around real-world usage. Realistically: a few months. We'll give every Beta user at least 30 days' notice before paid plans go live.

What happens to my account when Beta ends?

You keep everything — all your data, settings, customers, history. You'll choose a paid plan (or stay on the free Starter tier) and get preferential founding-member pricing locked in for life.

What if Skedra doesn't work out and you shut down?

You can export every customer, booking, and invoice as CSV at any time. Stripe payments go directly to your bank account — we never touch the money. You'd lose the booking interface, but not your business data or revenue history.

Pricing & billing

Why charge a monthly fee instead of commission?

Commission models punish you for growing. The more bookings you take, the more you pay. Flat pricing rewards growth — you pay the same whether you do 50 or 500 bookings a month. For most businesses doing €30k+ annually online, flat pricing is dramatically cheaper.

Are there usage limits I should know about?

Starter: 50 bookings/month, 1 staff member, 1 location. Pro: unlimited bookings, up to 5 staff. Premium: unlimited everything + AI + WhatsApp + SMS + multi-location. Outbound SMS/WhatsApp messages are billed at cost from Twilio (~€0.005-0.05 per message) — no markup from us.

Do you charge per staff member?

No. Pro includes up to 5 staff, Premium is unlimited. We don't believe in per-seat pricing for small businesses — it punishes you for hiring.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. One click from Settings → Billing. No notice period, no cancellation fee. Cancel mid-month and your account stays active until the end of the billing period.

Setup & migration

How long does setup take?

About 15 minutes for a single-location business. Sign up → onboarding wizard creates your first service and staff member → connect your booking page. You can be taking real bookings the same day.

Can I import customers from my current system?

Yes — CSV import is supported. We can also help with one-off imports from Fresha, Square, Acuity, Calendly, or a spreadsheet. Email us and we'll walk you through it.

Do I need to know any tech to use Skedra?

No. If you can use Instagram or WhatsApp, you can use Skedra. The dashboard is designed for non-technical owners and staff.

Can I use my own domain (like book.mybusiness.com)?

Yes — Premium plan. Add a CNAME DNS record pointing to Skedra and your booking page lives on your own domain. SSL is provisioned automatically.

Features

How do reminders work?

You set how many hours before each appointment to remind customers (default 24h). Skedra sends via email (free, included), SMS (Premium), and/or WhatsApp (Premium). Each channel is toggleable per tenant.

What does the AI actually do?

Three things: (1) drafts personalised win-back/birthday/thank-you messages for any customer in one click using their visit history; (2) replies to inbound WhatsApp messages with your services, prices, and booking link; (3) scores no-show risk on every booking so you know who to confirm with. We use an enterprise-grade LLM under the hood (white-labelled).

Does Skedra work on mobile?

Yes — fully responsive web app + PWA. Add to home screen on iPhone/Android and it opens like a native app, fullscreen. Native apps for App Store / Play Store are on the roadmap.

Can I take deposits when customers book?

Yes — Stripe-powered. Set a deposit per service (fixed amount or %), customer pays at booking, balance settled in-person or auto-charged after the appointment.

Privacy & security

Where is my data stored?

EU-region servers (Ireland). Skedra is built by Aiqon Limited, a registered Irish company. GDPR-compliant by construction.

Who can see my customer data?

Only you and people you explicitly invite (with role-based permissions: Owner, Manager, Receptionist, Staff). We don't sell, share, or mine customer data — full stop.

Is my booking data backed up?

Yes — daily automated backups with 30-day retention. Plus you can export everything as CSV anytime.
